A prodigy, she began her recording career at an early age, recording with New Orleans famed producer Wardell Quezergue (The Creole Beethoven) and then with Allen Toussaint, (Grammy Winner, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and Medal of the Arts Recipient 2013). In the early 1990's, she signed a record deal at MCA Records with the trio, MaHogany Blue. From 1995 to 2007, she toured with several famous groups around the world, such as Bruce Willis & The Excellorators, Willie Deville & The Mink DeVille Band and her trio, Mahogany Blue. July of 2014, she toured with the great Neil Young, appearing with him on The Jimmy Fallon Show in February 2015 and also appearing with him for the MusiCares tribute to Bob Dylan. Highly influenced by the singing careers of the great Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughn and crooners, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and Tony Bennett. In 2006, YaDonna embarked upon her solo career recording and singing America's greatest songs. During the past decade, YaDonna has been on a journey sealing her solo career as an American vocalist, with a song list from "The Great American Songbook" that covers a mixture of musical genres. This authentic New Orleans songstress dazzles audiences with her angelic voice, singing classics from some of the world's greatest writers and composers, such as George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer, Count Basie and this list goes on and on.
